Will two P2722H displays fit a 140 cm width plan?

Editable geometric planning example · US scope · editorial review 2026-10-27

SHORT CAPTION
Two Dell P2722H widths plus chosen gaps total 1,339.8 mm. A 1,400 mm example width leaves 60.2 mm; depth is still unassessed.

LONG POST
Two “27-inch” labels are not two monitor widths. Dell publishes an outside width of 609.9 mm for the P2722H. Put two upright, forward-facing units side by side, choose a 20 mm gap and reserve 50 mm at each side: the width plan totals 1,339.8 mm. Against an illustrative 1,400 mm desktop width, that leaves 60.2 mm.

The gap, side allowances and desktop width are editable planning inputs, not manufacturer minimums or a recommendation for your body. The figure compares front-view widths only. Stand bases, cables, rear clearance, depth, viewing comfort and room access require their own checks.

Open the calculator with this example loaded and replace the measurements with your actual constraints. Angled or portrait screens need a different layout, and an arm does not automatically establish desk permission or strength. This example shows that the chosen width arithmetic fits; it does not certify a complete workstation or a dual-monitor arm.
