SOURCE-LINKED BUYING DECISIONS

Check the minimum weight before the maximum.

An impressive maximum capacity does not remove the lower end of the published range.

What if my monitor is below the minimum?

If the complete mounted load is below the exact arm configuration’s stated minimum, it fails that published load check. Do not describe it as compatible just because it is lighter than the maximum. Follow the adjustment instructions for the exact kit; a tension adjustment does not rewrite its specified range.

If the lower limit is missing, leave it unknown and ask the manufacturer. Do not fill it with zero or borrow a minimum from another model in the same family.

Example 1: a light Dell panel and the LX

The P2222H panel is 2.82 kg without its stand. The recorded 45-241-224 starts at 3.2 kg. With direct mounting and no extra adapter, that is below the minimum.

See the failed lower-load check →

Other arms can have lower minimums, but they still need VESA, desktop and mounting checks. Compare the current candidates.

Example 2: a G9 that is lighter than an HD pivot expects

The US LS49CG954ENXZA has a 10.6 kg bare-panel figure. The recorded HX HD 45-647-224 starts at 12.7 kg. The direct-mount bare panel therefore fails the lower-load check even though both products are associated with large ultrawide screens.

What belongs in the mounted load?

  • Use the panel without its removable desk stand.
  • Account for the actual attached adapter and accessories, checking what the published panel figure already includes.
  • Verify that the adapter is mechanically suitable and count its mass only once.
  • Compare the result with both limits and any depth-related condition.

Do not improvise ballast to make a screen meet the minimum. This page does not establish an approved counterweight or modification. Choose a documented suitable configuration or obtain exact manufacturer guidance.

Does a screen moving upward prove it is underweight?

No. Compare the recorded mass and instructions first. A symptom alone cannot establish the cause or authorize a hardware modification. We have not diagnosed your installation remotely.
