Privacy
Fit calculations run in your browser. Your entered measurements stay on your device. By default, we do not send catalog selections or results to a server. There are no accounts or advertising analytics, and we set no tracking cookies.
Optional usage counts
The “Optional usage counts” control in the footer is off by default. If you enable it, we send events for a fit report becoming visible, an official product-page click, or a successful feedback submission. Each event contains its type, catalog monitor and arm IDs (or “manual”), result status, page surface (checker, candidate list or guide), product-destination ID where relevant, an explicit consent flag and a fresh random event ID used to prevent duplicate storage. This is not a visitor or session identifier. A report context is counted at most once per page while counting is enabled; clicks can repeat.
We store the server’s UTC date, not an exact event time, and do not store your dimensions, adapter mass, feedback note, IP address, user agent, URL, referrer, cookies or visitor ID in the usage table. Ordinary hosting logs remain separate as described below. We keep only the on/off preference in your browser’s tab session storage. You can turn it off at any time; this stops future events. A request already sent may finish. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep counting off.
Usage records are visible only to the operator for aggregate review and are not used for advertising. Events count actions, not distinct people, validated installations, orders or revenue. We cannot link them into an individual purchase funnel. If storage is unavailable, we discard the event without retrying or interrupting product links. Raw usage events are removed after 90 days during operator maintenance; aggregate counts may be retained. You can use the checker and send voluntary feedback without enabling usage counts.
Optional feedback
If you choose “Send feedback” and check the consent box, we send the displayed catalog monitor and arm IDs (or “manual”), result status, names of unknown checks, feedback category, reported installation outcome, optional note and a random submission ID. We exclude your entered dimensions and adapter mass. Please omit names, contact details, addresses, order numbers and other personal information from the note.
When the feedback database is configured, submissions are stored with our hosting provider for reviewing product facts and improving the checker. The form confirms receipt only after storage succeeds. If online submission is unavailable, it says so and offers a JSON download saved on your own device; downloading does not deliver your report to us.
Only the site operator can read the feedback database. Raw reports are not published, sold or used for ad targeting. Reports do not automatically change product specifications or recommendation rules. We review pending reports and remove old raw reports as part of maintenance.
Hosting and outbound links
Our hosting provider may keep ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the service. The feedback application does not copy your IP address or user agent into its database.
Manufacturer and store links are ordinary links. Before using any affiliate tracking links we will update the affiliate disclosure.
