SOURCE-LINKED BUYING DECISIONS

HX standard, HD and VHD are different configurations.

Compare the complete kit before you choose a heavy-duty label or plan a pivot upgrade.

The short answer

The standard-pivot HX, HX with HD pivot and HX with VHD pivot have different published load and display-depth conditions. The kit with the largest-sounding name is not automatically right for a lighter display. This page compares complete desk-arm kits; it does not establish that you can swap their pivots.

Three exact US desk-arm kits: standard 45-475-026, HD 45-647-224 and VHD 45-693-224. Finishes and kit revisions are not interchangeable by assumption.

Green bars: published load windows. Dashed line: 10.6 kg bare panel. Add any attached adapter and accessories. A load window does not settle depth, pivot, plate or desktop conditions. On narrow screens, scroll the chart to see every window.

The LS49CG954ENXZA bare panel is 10.6 kg. That is below the recorded HD and VHD lower bounds. Falling inside the standard HX’s headline window still does not resolve its depth-dependent condition.

Standard pivot: clarify deep panels

The older specification for the recorded polished-aluminum kit and current product wording do not give us a single reconciled depth rule. The checker requires clarification above the conservative recorded threshold rather than silently using the more permissive wording.

HD pivot: check both windows

The HD sheet combines a load window, physical-depth window and 1000R curved-display scope. Being a 49-inch monitor alone does not satisfy all three.

VHD pivot: inspect the whole assembly

The VHD sheet addresses deeper 1000R displays with its own load window. On the 57-inch G95NC, the required Samsung bracket’s mass remains a separate unknown.

Can I upgrade an existing HX by swapping the pivot?

This catalog does not contain a verified interchangeability mapping for your existing arm revision and a replacement pivot. Ask Ergotron using both exact part numbers and the supplied arm revision. Do not treat a complete-arm specification as permission to assemble a different combination.

Will all HX clamps fit the same desktop?

The current recorded drawing and older attachment guidance use different lower thickness limits. Verify the actual supplied clamp and its installation position. A range match does not establish the desktop’s strength or permission to clamp it.
