Why a heavier-duty arm can still miss the G95C’s load window
LS49CG954ENXZA: 10.6 kg without stand. Recorded HX HD minimum: 12.7 kg.
Shopping for a monitor arm by maximum capacity alone can miss the lower end of the range. Samsung’s US LS49CG954ENXZA, the G95C VA model, has a published 10.6 kg bare-panel figure. The recorded Ergotron HX with HD Pivot 45-647-224 starts at 12.7 kg. With the documented direct-mount arrangement and no extra adapter mass, that panel is below the stated minimum.
That is a specific load comparison, not a verdict on every Odyssey G9 or every HX kit. Other G9 versions have different mass and mounting instructions. An added accessory would need its actual mass and mechanical fit checked; improvised ballast is not an approved workaround here.
The useful next step is to identify the complete monitor model, compare both ends of the exact kit’s load window, and review the depth and desktop conditions. The linked example shows the failed minimum check and the remaining unknowns. This is a source-based illustration, not a physically tested installation.
Load comparison only. Other installation conditions still need review.
